2013 Spring Recital

I was so proud of everyone's performance in our first formal recital.  Just about everyone had played in our "Porch Recitals," but this was the first REAL recital for most of you, and you totally rocked it!! Some of you played original compositions, improvised pieces, hymns, folk songs- even a little Beethoven!  This can be scary, and we had a big audience which can make people even MORE nervous- but everyone did GREAT!!

Congratulations, students!!  I was so very proud of each of you- it truly is a pleasure hearing you make music.

1st "Porch Recital!"

I am starting a new tradition- Porch Recitals!!  This will be a great opportunity to  give everyone a chance to play what they've been working on in front of our other friends from the piano studio.  It is my hope that this will be something fun to look forward to, and that will help us all build confidence and enjoy community.  Hope to see you this Thursday at about 6PM!

Use this guide to spice up your scale routine while developing your technique.
